"Mary Power is 92 and worried about surviving another frigid New England winter because deep cuts in federal home heating assistance benefits mean she probably can't afford enough heating oil to stay warm."
Imagine having to make the decision whether to purchase food, medications, or heating your home in the freezing winter? All because our government and politicians don't think the elderly deserve a cost of living increase or help after working most of their lives? Entitlements? What about these wealthy politicians' taxpayer paid entitlements that most of them don't even need?
From an Associated Press article by Hope Yen: "Consensus Shows 1 in 2 People are Poor or Low Income".
"Squeezed by rising living costs, a record number of Americans- nearly 1 in 2- have fallen into poverty or are scraping by on earnings that classify them as low income".
"The reality is that prospects for the poor and the near poor are dismal," "If Congress and the states make further cuts, we can expect the number of poor and low-income families to rise for the next several years."
That is already almost 50% of the American working class. In addition, the real unemployment numbers are around 20-25%, depending on who is calculating them.
From an Associated Press article by Andrew Taylor: "Agreement near on $1 Trillion Spending Bill".
There were minor cuts to many government programs, mainly the EPA, The Pentagon Budget, and foreign aid. Tax breaks for people on Social Security were held hostage in exchange for the continuance of tax breaks for the wealthy. Ironic isn't it?
And: "Drafted behind closed doors, the proposed bill would provide $115 billion for overseas security operations in Afghanistan and Iraq but give the Pentagon just a 1 percent boost in annual spending not directly related to the wars".
Our government and politicians should be ashamed. We have people and families living in our streets. Working Americans who are unable to adequately take care of themselves and their families. Prior taxpayers like the retired elderly and unemployed living in poverty.
Yet we continue to spend BILLIONS to take care of , police, and rebuild other countries? Disgraceful!
In the book I predicted over a year ago : "If we continue on the current path, there will be another civil war in this country. Not a war about race and color, but a war between the have's and have not's".
When a large part of the population can no longer feed and shelter themselves and their families, what choice will they have?
Occupy is a perfect example of this. Can you foresee what may happen as the numbers continue to escalate? Even more important: They obviously ARE.

Kids in a Candy Store or Highway Robbery? Gingrich Gets 1.6M
Just more examples of our out of control government and obscene and blatant greed and thirst for more from "The Rich and Famous", including some of our elected politicians. These examples are from just one sector , the housing crisis and mortgage mess. Imagine the sheer numbers and dollar amounts of other examples and other sectors?
I know this is not necessarily new news, but maybe if we rub the unknowing public's nose in enough of the *hit, it will make them mad enough to start paying attention! Post another example that you know about from another sector!
Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae received approximately 150 BILLION in taxpayer bailout funds, and it is rumored that they are now in need of MORE.
Freddie paid Newt Gingrich approximately 1.6 million to "advise" them on their business model. What he got paid 1.6 million for is as follows ( from The New American, Thomas R Eddlam, 12.01.11):
In an November 9th CNBC presidential debate Gingrich was asked what he did to earn the money. He stated " I said to them at the time, this is a bubble. This is insane. This is impossible." But the Wall Street Journal pointed out that he not only praised the Freddie Mac model prior in a 2007 interview posted on Freddie's website, but stated that " these are results I think conservatives should embrace and want to extend as widely as possible."
In that same 2007 interview he praised Freddie Mac and the whole concept of GSE ( Government Sponsored Enterprise) and stated " I think a GSE for space exploration ought to be seriously considered, I'm convinced that if NASA were a GSE, we would probably be on Mars today."
I think we already know who is on Mars today myself. And we paid Gingrich 1.6M for these juicy tidbits? For talking out of both sides of his mouth like they so often do? I think most of us could have come up with better than that!
I guess more government (GSE) spending on special agenda would also help everyday Americans like the unemployed, like it has with Freddie and Fannie?
How about those Goldman Sachs big wigs who had a big hand in creating this housing and mortgage mess ? I illustrate in the book how these very same people are now making millions on a mess they created, and made millions on in the first place. They created One West Bank, who is now a large benefactor of the foreclosure crisis. I showed one example where One West made over 100K on ONE foreclosure they only paid approximately 240K for in the first place, all paid for and with taxpayer dollars!
I find it ironic that these politicians consistently condemn more government spending publicly, especially in the name of taxpayer paid for benefits like unemployment and Social Security/ Medicare, yet don't have a problem with it when they have their own hand out, stuffing more in their ever bulging pockets?

99% "Majority" vs 1%?: Who Are They? The Real Majority is More Like 59%!
Occupy states: "We represent 99% of the people". Really? How did they come up with that one?
I don't see Occupy as any different than The Tea Party, each just on a different side of the spectrum, each just another "special interest" group. I also don't see either as representing any "majority", except maybe in their own minds?
Realistically I think that they may each possibly have the support of maybe 10 to 20 percent at most, of the legal registered voters in this country. So let's give them both 20% and add the "other" 1% for a total of 41%.
That leaves a WHOPPING 59%, which is actually the "MAJORITY" in this country. So who is the 59%? In my opinion it is the working middle class taxpayer. It is YOU and I.
This 59% are the ones who need to start paying attention.
This 59% are the ones who can make a change.
This 59% are the ones who can make a difference.
This 59% are the ones who can come together in a common cause.
This 59% are the ones who can some together on common ground.
This 59% are the ones who can come up with a specific agenda.
This 59% are the ones who can lobby their elected representatives.
This 59% are the ones who can be taken seriously.
This 59% are the ones who can be heard.
This 59% are the ones who can make a real difference.
This 59% are the ones who can have the power needed for real change.
When I talk with most people about the state of affairs in our country it most always seems we come to agreement on major issues and what needs to be addressed, like Political Reform, Big Biz Regulation, Immigration Reform, Budget Cuts, etc. regardless of party.
So why aren't we in the news? Why aren't we trying to make a difference? Why isn't it the 59% vs the 41%?Doesn't that sound more realistic? Especially when these issues will most likely affect we the "majority" the most?
This 59% is not going to riot in the streets.
This 59% is not going to camp out at city hall.
This 59% is not going to represent the ultra wealthy and Big Biz.
This 59% is not going to represent special interest.
This 59% is not going to represent a minority.
This 59% is not going to make fools of themselves.
I created "The Wish List" specifically for the purpose so that the 59% can come together and create a realistic agenda that the 59% can accomplish. I hope you will take the 5 minutes or so to create your own list, add or delete from "The Wish List", or just agree or disagree with it and lobby your representatives with the final list. Visa: Use it Everywhere, Including Buying Politicians?
See how closely our elected officials and Big Biz are joined at the hip? A perfect example........
I wrote about the credit card reform legislation passed last year in the book and the numerous loopholes, and how the Credit Card companies had already gotten around those loopholes and were back to business as usual.
Just more lip service and smoke and mirrors from our politicians dba "public servants". Trying to appear that they were actually doing something for our benefit.
A perfect example of the corruption that exists in our government and elected officials: Nancy Pelosi is back in the news............
I wrote in an earlier post and comedy skit a few months ago that Ms. Pelosi's net worth had increased over sixty percent in the last two years alone. Here's just one possible example on how.
This all started back in 07 when Democrats got control of Congress and the credit card companies were concerned that they might kill the goose the goose that laid their golden egg by creating new protections for consumers.
Visa had not had any prior relationship with Ms. Pelosi, but hired an army of 14 lobbying firms to try and "persuade" Ms Pelosi to back off on any new credit card legislation until after the 08 elections. Soon after, Pelosi's reelection campaign received a $1000.00 donation from Visa's political action committee. Soon after that, one of the lobbyist also donated $1000.00 to her re-election and an additional $1000.00 to the Democratic Congressional Campaign.
As the plot thickens, Nancy's husband Paul got a pre-selected invitation in March of 08 to partake in Visa's 17.9 billion public stock offering, which was touted as one of the best stock offerings in that current slow market. Keep in mind this offering was only for "the chosen few", "pre-selected" investors. Nancy's husband initially bought 5000 shares and then another 15,000 shares over the following few months. The original price for this IPO was $44.00 a share. Even with the downturn in the market, those shares are valued at around $95.00 each now.
Guess it pays to have "friends" in high places. And of course, Ms Pelosi's office denies that any of her meetings with the big wigs at Visa had ANYTHING to do with the stock purchase! She also never brought up anything about the credit card bills in 08,stating she did not believe Bush would sign them. Although she did put effort into the "Credit Card Holder's Bill of Rights" in 09, as I stated prior the bill was full of holes, and
pretty much had little effect if any on the credit card companies.
Just one prime example of many. Our government and many elected officials are a disgrace to the American people. We need to get rid of them NOW! Know another great example? POST IT!

Baby Boomers Are Going Broke Too?
I wrote an entire chapter about this in the the book: "The American Dream, Is it really a nightmare"?
Medical expense not covered by insurance is currently a major cause for bankruptcy in America.
Economic advisers have estimated that on average you are going to need somewhere around $500K to retire in a conservative fashion. Most people on average only have an estimated 60K or so in their retirement accounts, if even that.
It is now estimated that a couple who is 65 today will need almost 300K of retirement savings just to cover medical costs not covered by Medicare , for the typical elderly patient. With current and fairly recent returns on retirement accounts I sure don't see that happening.
Even while my accounts continue to lose value, the brokerage firms continue to charge my accounts hefty fees for a job not so well done. I guess that is my contribution to their retirement account? In addition, I have to pay taxes on any gains, yet get no deduction for the losses. What's up with that? Government, Wall Street, and Big Biz is what's up.
Fact is unless some type of miracle happens, a majority are not going to be able to retire, or even afford proper health care and living expenses for that matter. Unless of course they are on welfare or some other social program.
As I have asked numerous times prior: " Will the elderly and our veterans become the new ranks of the homeless? If not, who's going to pay that bill? Their children? Do you want to see your parents or grand parents in a soup line?
I guess we need to cut taxpayer paid for benefits to insure our politicians and government's agenda's for war and policing the planet are kept in tact? NOT!!!
Think about the social and economic ramifications of one of our largest populous not being able to live, or possibly even survive.
What about people who have never worked but receive "social" paychecks and incomes? I guess they will be better off than the people who actually paid for those "incomes" and "benefits", that they will continue to receive regardless?
Something is really wrong with this "dream"! WAKE UP before it's too late! Read more in the book.

Great Idea for America!: A New Christmas Tradition for 2011
Although this won't work for everyone on your list, it will work for many of them. This was an email I received. There was no Author named, so I am just going to re-post it. Great read and idea!
Christmas 2011 -- Birth of a New Tradition
As the holidays approach, the giant Asian factories are kicking into high gear to provide Americans with monstrous piles of cheaply produced goods -- merchandise that has been produced at the expense of American labor. This is concern for other Americans. There is no longer an excuse that, at giftgiving time, nothing can be found that is produced by American hands. Yes there is!
It's time to think outside the box, people. Who says a gift needs to fit in a shirt box, wrapped in Chinese produced wrapping paper? Everyone -- yes EVERYONE gets their hair cut. How about gift certificates from your local American hair salon or barber? Gym membership? It's appropriate for all ages who are thinking about some health improvement.
Who wouldn't appreciate getting their car detailed? Small, American owned detail shops and car washes would love to sell you a gift certificate or a book of gift certificates.
Are you one of those extravagant givers who think nothing of plunking down the Benjamins on a Chinese made flat-screen? Perhaps that grateful gift receiver would like his driveway sealed, or lawn mowed for the summer, or driveway plowed all winter, or games at the local golf course.
There are a bizillion owner-run restaurants -- all offering gift certificates. And, if your intended isn't the fancy eatery sort, what about a half dozen breakfasts at the local breakfast joint. Remember, folks this isn't about big National chains -- this is about supporting your home town Americans with their financial lives on the line to keep their doors open.
How many people couldn't use an oil change for their car, truck or motorcycle, done at a shop run by the American working guy? Thinking about a heartfelt gift for mom? Mom would LOVE the services of a local cleaning lady for a day, flowers, a nice fruit basket.
My computer could use a tune-up, and I KNOW I can find some young guy who is struggling to get his repair business up and running.
OK, you were looking for something more personal. Local crafts people spin their own wool and knit them into scarves. They make jewelry, pottery and beautiful wooden boxes.
Plan your holiday outings at local, owner operated restaurants and leave your server a nice tip. And, how about going out to see a play or ballet at your hometown theatre. Musicians need love too, so find a venue showcasing local bands.
Honestly, people, do we REALLY need to buy another ten thousand Chinese lights for the house? When you buy a five dollar string of light, about fifty cents stays in the community. If you have those kinds of bucks to burn, leave the mailman, trash guy or babysitter a nice BIG tip.
You see, Christmas is no longer about draining American pockets so that China can build another glittering city. Christmas is now about caring about our own friends and neighbors, encouraging American small businesses to keep plugging away to follow their dreams. And, when we care about other Americans, we care about our communities, and the benefits come back to us in ways we couldn't imagine. THIS is the new American Christmas tradition.

I wrote a lot about this in depth in the book. Why do they keep on serving up "dumb and dumber" for Presidential Candidates when this is supposed to be one of the most prestigious jobs in the world? Not to mention some of the idiotic comments coming out of our other high profile elected officials.
Isn't there someone out there with half a brain that wants to make 400K + a year with life long benefits? Probably, but they won't ever get the opportunity since "they" only serve up what's bought and paid for!

Big Banks Don't Care About "Bank Transfer Day" ?
I guess they have forgotten about all that money they make using our money to give loans. They pay less than one percent interest on deposits nowadays, and charge anywhere from around 4% to 12% for home and car loans.
I guess the Credit Unions are more aware of what the Big Banks have forgotten: CUSTOMER SERVICE! In addition, most Credit Unions offer better rates to their members than many of the Big Banks.
Keep it going and keep the ball rolling! Sooner or later maybe these Big Banks that were bailed out with OUR MONEY might realize that it is a PRIVILEGE to have CUSTOMERS, and the ability to make a profit with OUR MONEY!

"The Wish List" objective: Find specific political common ground and a platform that reflects the wishes of the majority.
The List's objective is to find a specific political common ground and a platform that reflects the wishes of the majority of Americans.
In a Democracy the majority is supposed to rule, regardless of what that majority is."The Wish List" will be reflective of what that majority wants from our government.
"The Wish List" was created to give anyone the opportunity to post a list of 10 legitimate political items /agendas they feel are of utmost importance to our country's future and the majority's well being. You can also agree with, or just add your wishes to the current list by commenting below.
I started the original list from my own personal viewpoint. I will collate the responses, add and subtract from the "list" with similar and repetitive responses, to create one list that will be directly reflective of the groups ideas, wants, and wishes.
Please NO discussions aimed directly at "The List" at this time. Just your list of 10 items with possibly a BRIEF explanation of those items if needed. I do NOT want this to become an argumentative, divisive, or offensive conversation or commentary. As things progress, I will open it up to discussion on what items the final list needs to include.
The final list will be in direct adherence to the ratio of legitimate lists posted. I am also requesting some help to manage it, and to make sure "The List" stays objective and on it's original purpose.
Once "The List" is finalized, we can decide as a group what to do with it, and how to support it.
MY WISH LIST:
1. The majority needs to unite in a common cause and on a common ground and platform, and put differences aside, to gain the strength and power to get OUR country back.
2. We need campaign reform and regulation put back in place, so "Independents" can be on equal ground and status with our current bought and paid for politicians.
3. We need term limits on Congress and accountability for their actions.
4. We need an impeachment process in place so we can more easily rid ourselves of elected politicians that don't live up to campaign promises, or the wishes of the majority.
5. We need regulations put back in place on Big Biz, and especially the Financial Industry to protect OUR best interests.
6. We need to get back to a "Democratic Capitalist System" and away from the current "Authoritarian Capitalist System", by eliminating Big Biz, Wall Street, Special Interest, and their Lobbyists from our government.
7. We need Health Care Reform. Basic health care, not health care based on corporate profit.
8. We need Immigration Reform. The costs to taxpayers for illegals is staggering, and our country's systems, infrastructure, schools, hospitals, etc. cannot sustain the current influx.
9. We need Federal Income Tax Reform. A fairer system for all, including Big Biz and the Wealthy.
10. Cuts in Taxpayer paid benefits OFF the table. Cut waste in government spending, cut and/or trim back unnecessary or dysfunctional departments and programs.
11. We need to cut back Military spending, and take care of our own country first and foremost.

Immigration: Obama's Illegal Aunt Feels "Entitled".
I think most "Americans" are in favor of immigration reform, and I talk about it in depth in the book/ chapter: "Immigration, the Land of the Free for for Free"?
This video of President Obama's Aunt is a perfect example of these illegals feelings of entitlement. Even worse, she's our presidents Aunt who is on social assistance! I also talked about the Presidents Uncle Omar in a previous blog, another illegal recently charged with DUI who is also in our country illegally and will most likely not face prosecution or deportation. Capitalism and Democracy are NOT Synonomous
Seems many of our politicians use these terms synonymously and freely. Great "buzz" words for a campaign I guess, along with "free enterprise", "the majority", and our "Constitution".
First let me state that there is NO mention of "capitalism" in our constitution. Matter of fact, our current form of capitalism may actually be in direct opposition and violation of it!
The definition of "capitalism" from Merriam Websters online:
"an economic system characterized by private or corporate ownership of capital goods, by investments that are determined by private decision, and by prices, production, and the distribution of goods that are determined mainly by competition in a free market".
Some of the definitions of "Democracy" from Merriam Websters online:
"a government by the people; especially: rule of the majority
"a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections".
"the common people especially when constituting the source of political authority"
" the absence of hereditary or arbitrary class distinctions or privileges"
Now lets take the two and get an explanation from Wikipedia:
"Democratic Capitalism": " also known as capitalist democracy, is a political,economic, and social system and ideology based on a tripartite arrangement of a market based economy based predominately on a democratic polity, economic incentives through free markets, fiscal responsibility and a liberal moral-cultural system which encourages pluralism"
This economic system supports a capitalist free market economy subject to control by a democratic political system that is supported by the majority. It stands in contrast to authoritarian capitalism by limiting the influence of special interest groups, including corporate lobbyists, on politics".
"The Unites States is often seen as having a democratic capitalism as it's political-economic system although some argue it has become more authoritarian in recent decades".
Although capitalism worked well for our country for decades, I believe this "shift" from democratic to authoritarian is EXACTLY whats wrong with our current economic system. I tend to use the word "elitist", but "authoritarian" will do just fine and they do seem synonymous! Let's also throw in "trickle down economics" for grins.
I just wanted to clear that up. So next time you hear our current politicians talking about "capitalism and democracy", ask if they are referring to "democratic capitalism" or "authoritarian capitalism". I think most of us in the already know the answer!

1.1 BILLION Taxpayer Dollars for Qaddafi? 500 BILLION for Afghanistan War So Far?
Yes, the estimated cost to the American taxpayer for Muammar el-Qaddafi's Head: 1.1 BILLION!
That's not even the final total and the 1.1 BILLION does not include The State Department, CIA, and other American agencies involved, or costs to NATO.
Vice President Joe Biden stated "The US spent 2 BILLION total and didn't lose a singe life". And Obama stated " We achieved our objectives and our NATO mission will soon come to an end". YEAH RIGHT!
The Congressional Research Services estimate the Afghanistan war has cost 500 BILLION so far, and with Iraq the figure easily tops 1 TRILLION!
In another article: "One in three veterans of the post-911 military believes the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were not worth fighting, and a MAJORITY think after 10 years of combat America should be focusing less on foreign affairs and more on it's own problems, according to an opinion poll released Wednesday". From Associated Press/ Robert Burns 10.05.11
Chump change I guess? Especially when we can't afford to rebuild our own country and infrastructure to create jobs for Americans? Can't afford anything for American taxpayers because we are BROKE? BS!
I stated numerous times in the book and will reiterate: "WE have plenty of money, it's just how THEY decide to spend it".
I know I have stated this line of thought numerous times and I FIRMLY BELIEVE, "We need to take care of our own first, then worry about the rest of the freakin' world. Unless of course our own National Security is at stake. So what about securing our borders for starts?
What does the majority think? Is it in line with my and our Veterans thoughts? Why don't our elected officials and government listen? As I stated in the song "Their agenda is not what it seems".
Stand up and fight back. It's OUR MONEY and THEY should spend it as WE see fit! Democracy? BS

Are You Part of the Problem, or the Solution?
When I talk with a majority of people about my book and politics in general, there seems to be a commonality in most of those conversations . That is as long as that person is not too far to the right or too far to the left.
It seems to me that a majority of everyday "Americans" are pretty much in agreement in what we and our country needs, and our current problems in regard to our Government, Big Biz, and Politicians.
Are you in favor of unity and what's best for the majority, regardless of what that majority may be? Are you in favor for what's best for our country and society as a whole?
Are you one who only cares about his or her self and agenda, or one who is selfish, self serving, close minded, and uncaring about our country as a WHOLE? Are you an island?
We want fairness. We want an opportunity for a decent wage, and a decent life. We want affordable health care. We want some type of security and faith in our system. We want to be rewarded for hard work and a job well done.
We want a shot at the "American Dream".
I think that "We" is the majority of Americans.
I think that majority needs to come together on common ground and in a common cause. That's how WE will WIN!
How have we let the tables be turned against us? How have things become so slanted against us? How can they continue to "bite the hand that feeds"?
We need a LEADER that will UNITE US and fight for US. We don't need another bought and paid for "politician"campaigning for themselves, the wealthy, Big Biz, and the status quo.
Will that leader be revealed to us before it's too late?

Our Constitution: Freedom of Speech and the Right to Protest
"A government for the people and by the people".
Our current government is the farthest thing from "A government for the people and by the people", and I'm not sure I would even call it a "Democracy". I would call it more a "government for the government and by Big Business".
How can some of our elitists politicians and candidates tout and campaign "We need to get back to our Constitution" when in reality that's probably the last thing they want, unless it suits THEIR needs and agenda?
They continue to campaign on that ideology, yet continue to slam and try to discredit and diffuse the Occupy movement. They also are ADAMANT in their efforts to make sure and keep the current status quo.
Maybe we "Americans" should take real notice and open our eyes and minds a little wider.
Their "agenda" is not what it seems, just more hypocrisy and lip service.
Wake up America, before it's too late! Educate yourself!

Are "They" Afraid of the Occupy Movement? More Hypocrisy
While the right wing bashes and slams the Occupy Movement, they continue to tout their campaign agenda that we need to get back to the Constitution of The United States of America. What about free speech and our right to protest? Isn't that a major point and of utmost importance in regard to our Constitution?
I guess it is as long as THEY agree with it. Just another example of their spewing sensationalism and talking out of both sides of their mouths. HYPOCRITES!
We can send a strong message to them and American Big Biz very simply and with ease. Take the 10 biggest American Corporations in 10 different business categories and boycott their goods and services uniformly. When they see their customer base and revenue diminish, they will realize who really has the power here, and it's not them!
Obviously getting back to the Constitution is NOT what they want, unless it furthers THEIR agenda and control. Keep in mind that DEMOCRACY and CAPITALISM are two different entities, not one in the same.
No more controlling us. No more keeping us down. No more lip service.

Socialist?, Marxist?, Elitists?, Communists? What are we becoming here?
The far right is consistently calling the left "Socialists" and "Marxist". Is it because the left tries to include the entire spectrum of American Citizens in it's campaigns and proposals?
Since when was it "Socialist" to care about the poor and less fortunate? Since when was it "Socialist" to care about one another, even if we come from different back grounds, beliefs, lifestyles, and status?

I grow weary of the far right wingers attitude toward a large populous of this great country of ours. It seems the only people they care about are themselves, and anyone who is similar to them. It seems they are Elitists who only care about keeping the status quo and their bulging bank accounts. Are these "Elitists" actually bordering on Communism, and attempting to create an "Aryan" nation composed of only themselves?

It's Time to Ditch Your Debit Card!
I know many many people use their debit cards instead of cash or credit cards, and so does YOUR BANK!
In an attempt to further increase THEIR profits using YOUR money, they are now "testing" and implementing numerous additional charges for YOU to pay to access your own money.
Bank of America has already announced it's new $5.00 per month charge to use it's debit cards. Wells Fargo, SunTrust, and Chase have already eliminated debit rewards programs, and Chase, PNC, and TD Bank are already "testing" ATM fees as high as $5.00 a pop in some markets.
What is the alternative? TRY CASH! Or if you prefer the convenience of a card, use a credit card and pay off your balance every month to avoid interest and fees. In addition to convenience, most credit cards still offer "cash back" or "reward" programs. I like to use a credit card for daily expenses so that I don't have to keep up with every little transaction. I get an itemized statement and pay it every month. Much easier than keeping up with every time you use a debit.
In addition, credit cards offer much better protection than debit cards in the event of loss or theft. You are limited to minimal loss on a credit card, yet you can risk losing everything in your checking account if you don't report the loss or theft before a debit card is used.

One More Reason We Need Immigration Reform NOW!
Anchor babies we pay for, welfare we pay for, medical services we pay for...............
That doesn't even take into account the crimes against us they commit and the cost of their incarceration.

This also happened right here in Austin not very long ago as well. It happened to a married man with a family, a consultant from Tennessee who left the airport and was hit by an illegal drunk driver before he ever made it to his hotel room a few miles away.
While fleeing from police, Jaime Bonilla Alvarado ran a red light and hit Robert Benn in his rental car, resulting in his death. He had a 2.0 blood alcohol level which is almost 2.5 times the legal limit. It was later publicized that Alvarado had been convicted of THREE prior DUI's. He now faces life in prison, at OUR EXPENSE!
The numbers these illegals cost the American taxpayer are STAGGERING! Why don't our elected officials do something about it? Why don't they fulfill the wishes of the majority of the American taxpayers?

We Need a REAL American for President, Not Another Elitist
Bought and paid for, signed, sealed, delivered. That is what it seems our current politicians and government are all about.
Have they forgotten, or did they ever know what the average Americans life is all about? What struggles, trials, and tribulations the majority of Americans are going through?
When a majority of them are millionaires and don't even need their 200K public servant salary, how can they even begin to relate? If they are millionaires why even bother? Unless of course they got that way by being in public office.
When I talk with other legal and taxpaying Americans, it seems we are all on the same page. So why is it so complicated? I think our politicians make it that way intentionally. Keep them divided and powerless. We need a candidate that will unite us in a common cause for the good of the whole. We need a real LEADER!
We need to DEMAND that our elected officials abide by our wishes and desires or demand they be taken out of office. WE do outnumber THEM, and we can start on a state representative level. It's not about one party or the other, it's about US.

Why do buget cuts only include taxpayer related benefits?
Well, I guess we are not shutting down America again, at least not until November 18th.
I think most Americans know that they need to live within their means. I also think that most are in agreement that our government needs to do the same.
But at what cost and to who? It seems the far right wingers always look to cuts from programs that benefit the taxpayers like Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, Unemployment, and other "public" benefits.
In my book I make the statement and go into detail that our government has plenty of money, it's just how they choose to spend it.
I could think of numerous things to cut out of our budget to diminish and eliminate the deficit, and I'm sure many many Americans could as well. I just don't understand why our elected officials can't or won't? Possibly too much personal and political agenda?
At least they did give FEMA some additional funds, although not what was originally intended. I guess disaster struck Americans are less important to our politicians than "pork" and their cronies.

Far Right Wingers: Your "Boy" Ronnie Aint No Saint!
This post in in reference to a converasation I had with one of those so far to one side they can't see the forest for the trees. It's point is that most people ( regardless of party), can find fault and blame on either party if they choose to do so.
It's not one party it's both, it's our dysfuncional and corrupt government bought and paid for by lobbyist, Big Biz, and the ultra wealthy. Fighting it out amongst ourselves with more seperation and division will only continue to feed the fire these politicians love to see rage. My opinion is: generallythey are all one in the same.
I never said Obama's policies were "better" so don't start putting words in my mouth. As far as trickle down econ goes, the numbers support my opinion, and are supported by numerous other articles that state the same.
The shift of money and wealth continues, and the class distinctions grow ever wider.
I am going to beat this dead horse one more time: Do you really think that someone could not create the same argument against the conservative party?
Your 'Boy" (and most conservatives) "Boy" Ronnie, cut taxes originally, then raised taxes 11 times while in office, expanded government considerably, and brought the good old Wall Street Goldman Sachs thugs into our government's inner circle and policy.....bringing major implementations of the current stock market shell game ( that benefits who?)
He also INCREASED THE NATIONAL DEBT from 700 billion to 3 TRILLION!
He also signed the LARGEST CORPORATE TAX increase in history.
He also raised the gas tax.
Sounds like a freakin hero to me!

Cut this, Cut that, our politicians need to CUT, CUT, CUT.
Cut their own benefits? NO!
Cut budgets for their own agendas? NO!
Cut spending on programs that benefit them? NO!
Cut (or better yet eliminate) spending on Illegals benefits/programs? NO
Cut spending on programs that benefit the taxpayers/citizens? YES!
Could you please pass me one of those $16.00 cupcakes and an $8.00 coffee while we discuss it ? YES!

The DOJ spent 121 MILLION on "conferences" in fiscal 2008 and 2009, "which exceeded it's own spending limits"! I'm sure this is "common practice" among most all of the taxpayer funded Government "meetings" and "functions" and is done on a regular basis.

INSANITY: Repeating the same actions and expecting a different result.
Insanity? Yes I believe so.
When you look at our political history for the past few decades and then our current politicians ( both parties), do you start to see the insanity in it all? Some sort of repetitive pattern?
Our current politicians are corrupt, divided, and dysfunctional at best.
We need change in our country, real change.
We need a LEADER, that can put aside party differences and lead us forward, up and out of this mess.
We need someone with a real vision that reflects the majority of America's LEGAL CITIZENS wishes and hopes, not their own agendas and greed.
No more rhetoric, pointing fingers, blame, and business as usual.
More of the same will only create more of the same, and we Americans don't have time for that. Time has run out..
WE the PEOPLE. need to vote out the majority of incumbents and start anew, with a fresh and visionary direction and administration that will reflect and work to carry out OUR wishes. NO MORE BS!

I guess I got my original question answered. In a statement issued by Rep Steve King he suggests: "drunken Uncle Omar Obama could be the first beneficiary of the president's new Executive Amnesty for Illegal Aliens program".
Rep King is now requesting a congressional investigation into the matter. Good for you Mr. King, I am glad that someone shares the views of the people they are supposed to serve and represent!
Uncle Omar was arrested for DWI in Massachusetts recently after registering almost twice the legal limit for blood alcohol content in that state.
He was then turned over to Immigration and held because of a 1992 deportation order. He has been supposedly adjudicated twice before for deportation, making this the third time. Immigration and Customs Officials "just released him" again.

Great Speech Prez Obama: In a democracy the majority is supposed to rule
Like it or not: In a democracy, the majority is supposed to rule.
I was impressed with Obama's speech. I think he relayed the wishes and hopes of the majority of Americans, excluding Big Biz, the wealthy, and a whole lot of Republican politicians.
He stated that we needed a unified government to get us out of this mess and he is correct.
He stated that a number of the things he proposes have been done in the past by Democrats and Republicans alike, and he is correct!
Most of our National Parks and a lot of our infrastructure were created after the World Wars, to insure Americans and American Soldiers had jobs after the wars. Just one example but it worked then and it will work now!
Think about how much these type things have enriched the lives of ALL Americans, and think about your life without them.
I was disgusted by the Republicans outlandish and disrespectful behavior again. It reminded me of "eye rolls" teenage girls are so adept at! GEEZ!
Let's just see if he can actually get it done for all our good and screw the Republicans that just want to keep everything status quo.

Rick Perry: Mc Donalds Anyone? For a job that is!!!

I am a Texan living in Texas and like a lot of Texans, we know all too well Mr. Perry's rhetoric. The scary thing is that he is gaining in the Republican Party for their Presidential nomination. Why wouldn't he though, considering who his closest Republican opponent is? EVEN MORE SCARY!!! The lesser of two evils again?
Rick Perry has the audacity and gall to talk about and campaign on his prior performance? Get a grip! Here are the facts:
The majority of the "jobs" created in Texas are minimum wage or low paying jobs.
Perry consistently caters to Big Biz and his elitist cronies like most Republicans.
Texas has the highest numbers in the nation of uninsured residents.
Texas has the highest number of High School drop outs.
Texas has also had the highest percentage of it's residents living in poverty (since 1980) than the overall U.S. average.
Perry has also stated repeatedly that he is against "Big Government", yet has no problem in requesting and even trying to demand help from the Fed when he sees fit.
Most of us Texans with half a brain don't believe any of his BS, and I hope you don't either. Unless of course you are among the ranks of Big Biz and the wealthy.

More Childish Pranks: Republicans create more dissention and seperation.
Republicans not attending the Presidential speech? Another episode of Romper Room?
I have NEVER voted Democrat but I've got to say I am seriously thinking about it now. In a time when we need unity and faith in our government, the Republicans continue to create more dissension and separation.
Keep in mind that these are the ones who handed off the oars to a sinking ship just a few years ago, after being in office for multiple terms. I find it extremely annoying and distasteful that they are actually pointing fingers now, and take no responsibility for our current situation whatsoever.
All while they continue to toot their own horns and ignore everyone else, except Big Biz and their own wealthy aristocratic cronies. This is appalling at best. We will never get anywhere with this attitude, especially within our own government. It is a disgrace to America and the American people.
I think ALL INCUMBENTS need to be voted OUT! No retirement, no golden parachute, NOTHING. Wipe the slate clean! Let these idiots start living the life THEY have created for US!

Is the "Tea Party" partying a little too much?
It's all about votes and getting elected, not doing what's right for our country!
Now Mitt Romney is warming up to the Tea Party? He is "courting them" more because polls show he is being hurt by lack of support in that movement. I wonder why the change if heart? Is it because he is an *ss who regulary shows his discontent for the American Public's wishes, and his love for American Big Biz? You know that Big Biz "are people too"!???
Has he changed his mind now because he isn't gaining much support anywhere else? I quote "If you don't agree with me then vote for somebody else"! Does he even care what the majority thinks, since the electoral vote is what decides the Presidential election anyway?
How about Gov Rick Perry? He has been so "anti- Big Government" in his campaign outlook and prior decisions. A perfect example was his insistance to refuse "Big Government" bailout funds to help un-employed Texans because there were "strings attached", although he did take some for other reasons. Guess he just couldn't resist?
In addition Perry's stance has also been non- commital and almost non-existent in regard to immigration reform, which is costing Texas taxpayers millions annually.
BUT.....
He has asked Big Government for around 350 million recently, to help with the cost of incarcerated illegals in Texas. In addition, he is now begging Big Government AGAIN, to help him with the states wildfires crisis and damages!
Seems like these guys are a little confused? Partying a little too much? Or just talking out of both sides of thier mouths, AGAIN?

It's no wonder we can't get Immigration Reform: Obama's Uncle Held by Immigration.
What is the point here?
We Americans are tired of supporting these illegals, while they break our laws and while they rape and pillage our system for a never ending supply of freebies! Is it no wonder we can't get any meaningful Immigration Reform?
What is the benefit to our Politicians?
This is a case of most interest. He blew a .14, and is being held by Immigration. Will they actually prosecute Onyango Obama ? I THINK NOT!
As we all know, if any of us blew a .14 or got caught breaking the law, we would surely be prosecuted. Our politicians create these laws and rules yet never abide by them themselves, and help their family members and friend avoid them as well.

Are Big Banks Now Manipulating Our Credit Scores for THEIR Benefit?
This was an interesting article I read this morning and it hit a nerve with me. Make sure and take a look and read some of the comments. It made me realize that I am not the only one who has experienced it.
My credit scores have always been very good., and they still are! Funny thing is that here recently, I was charged a high interest rate because they stated that my credit score was not high enough to qualify for their "best" rate. I didn't even take the time to dispute it or look into it further, I just went with another institution that gave me the rate I deserved.
Just like the guy who stated a car dealership told him his score was almost 100 points less than his recent credit report showed it. He stated that they "manipulate the numbers", and recommended that you take a copy of your report with you if you intend on applying for credit. He also stated that we should be able to see our credit scores for FREE, anytime we desire. I agree! These credit score companies make millions of dollars selling OUR information, yet we don't have access to it ourselves?
Yes you can get ONE free report per year but as the article states, "you should check your scores frequently". So I guess we need to pay to get our own information, while these companies make money off it and are possibly using incorrect or manipulated information?
The article also states that "your credit score can be a moving target", and minimum scores have been inching up steadily in recent times. "Four out of ten" Americans will not qualify for a home or auto loan currently, and the minimum scores to obtain decent rates are on the rise.
Hmmm,.......wasn't all that bailout money our politicians threw at these big banks supposed to "free up" credit? That's the explanation I remember hearing! Just more of the same old, same old BS. American Big Biz's greed being fed by our infamous government officials at OUR EXPENSE!

Running scared Republicans are now CHARGING for Town Hall meetings! Constitutional?
Since when did we have to start paying to ask our elected officials questions? I guess here just recently!
Personally, I believe (and probably most other Americans would agree) that our elected officials WORK FOR US, not the other way around.
We are the ones paying THEIR hefty salaries and golden retirements, health care, etc., and they have the nerve to try and charge us to ask them a question in any format? BS!!! I think that this has to be unconstitutional.
It's bad enough that we have to listen to them bicker like kindergartners and embarrass us around the globe, but this is preposterous.
It is time we Americans put an end to this aristocracy and arrogance. THE TIME IS NOW!

That's exactly where our politicians have us headed, whether you believe it or not! Just another act on this vast stage they call politics.
Many financial experts are predicting hyper-inflation, soaring interest rates, and 40- 50 percent unemployment in the next few years. Even God himself, George Soros (Goldman Sachs clone) has predicted a possible "global" depression.
They have been working on this for years, and I believe they have been preparing themselves for it. Preparing by draining every last ounce of blood from this pig wearing lipstick they call the American economy.
The politicians along with the wealthy and Big Biz have been making obscene amounts of money in recent years, in the worst economic climate most of us have ever known. Did they orchestrate it, or possibly know ahead of time?
How did the ultra wealthy "weather the storm" in the Great Depression of 29'. Did they know ahead of time as well?
Sit around and just watch it all unravel, until it's too late. You will only have yourself to blame.
Americans need to unite in a common cause and on common ground. "United We Stand, Divided We Fall", and that is the damned TRUTH!

Who do you think is going to pay for all this wreck less spending?

Crude oil is now lower than it has been in quite some time but gas prices aren't. What's the deal? Every time I fill up my car I feel like the gas nozzle hose is being wrapped around my neck while the nozzle is being shoved ............
Big American Oil companies have been making record profits in a time when most of us are just trying to keep our heads above water. OBSCENE PROFITS!
"They" can't afford to pay taxes because it might diminish their HUGE profits. "They" can't afford to create jobs because it might diminish their HUGE profits. Hard to believe that "they" can't afford ANYTHING!
The Canadian government subsidizes the price of gas for it's citizens to keep it's economy more stable. Why didn't our government spend some of that bailout cash on things that would actually benefit it's citizens?
What will happen when the other huge American monopolies decide their zealous profits aren't high enough?
Our government has been running small farmers and Independents out of business for years. Will they start holding us hostage with food, like they are currently doing with gas?
We Americans need to unite and organize in a common cause. We could do financial damage to ANY U.S. Corporation or business if we chose to do so UNI FORMALLY! Think if we just boycotted ONE oil company. In a short period of time we could do damage to the sale of their product and stock price!

Al Sharpton's "racial profiling" of Rick Perry. Is it ok if you are a minority?
Isn't this the tea kettle calling the coffee pot black?
Al Sharpton took Rick Perry's comment totally out of context and turned it into a racial slur.
Not that I am a big fan of Rick Perry, but come on Al. Really? Are you kidding? What a JOKE!
Funny that it's OK to racial profile and create racism if you are part of the minority. Isn't that discrimination itself?
I dedicated an entire chapter to this in the book "American Me?"/chapter : "Racial Profiling and Discrimination"

Ron Paul "Nailed to the Cross" by our socialist media
This is a perfect example of Big Biz, our current politicians, and controlled media trying to warp our perception and sway our opinion. They have completely dismissed and continue to ignore this man, who's rankings are higher than numerous other candidates they continue to embrace. Why?
Is it because his "agenda" is not in line with their same old, same old rhetoric and agendas?
Is it because he speaks the truth?
They even dismiss him as the crowds cheer!
I have to admit what he is saying seems much more in line with what the American public is thinking.

Warren Buffett vs Nancy Pelosi
What a parable! A true American vs a Politician!
Mr Buffett has volunteered and believes that America's wealthiest should kick in and pay more personal income taxes to help out America as a whole.
On the other side Nancy Pelosi's personal wealth has increase over 60% in the last year or so.
Since the current recession started just a few years ago:
Private sector employment has only increased around 1%.
Federal employment has increased around 15%!
Private sector average income is around $61,000.00 a year.
Federal sector average income is around $123,000.00 a year. OVER DOUBLE!
The Transportation Department had only ONE employee making over $170,000.00 a year, they currently have 1650 employees making over that amount .
The Department of Defense had 1868 employees making over $150,000.00 per year, they currently have around 10,100 employees making over that amount!
SIXTEEN PERCENT of the current voters work for the government and will not vote against government budget cuts. Keep in mind with their spouses vote, it's closer THIRTY TWO percent.
